
St. Francis Man Indicted for Being Drug User in Possession of Firearm

United States Attorney Brendan V. Johnson announced that a St. Francis, South Dakota, man has been indicted by a federal grand jury for being a Drug User in Possession of a Firearm. Antoine Kills In Water, age 29, was indicted by a federal grand jury on July 18, 2012. He appeared before United States Magistrate Judge Mark A. Moreno on August 3, 2012, and pled not guilty to the indictment. The maximum penalty upon conviction is 10 years in custody, a $250,000 fine, or both. The charge is merely an accusation, and Kills In Water is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty. The investigation is being conducted by Rosebud Sioux Tribe Law Enforcement Services. The case is being prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Jay Miller. Kills In Water was released on bond pending trial. Trial has been set for October 2, 2012. |
